Así arranca este “1972” de Josh Rouse su cuarto disco, el primero que yo conocí después de leer una buena crítica en Rockdelux, estos primeros versos no pueden ser más esclarecedores, porque si a algo suena este disco es a eso a la música que hacían algunos cantautores americanos(Jackson Browne, James Taylor..)a principios de los 70 y en especial, al menos a mi me recuerda mucho, a Carole King y su “Tapestry”. El disco es una delicia de principio a fin y consigue crear la atmósfera deseada, un disco de los 7o en toda regla. Un Josh Rouse en estado de gracia que entrega temazos como “Love Vibration”, con su tremendo solo de saxo final, “James”, la propia “1972”, o la preciosa “Flight Attendant”. Poco después de editar este disco el bueno de Josh se mudó a España, se casó con una española, en concreto a Altea donde ha seguido componiendo y editando sus discos, en Grabaciones en el Mar otra de mis compañias de discos favoritas, e incluso ha acabado ganando un Goya por “Do You Really Want to be in Love” canción que estaba incluida en la BSO de “La Gran Familia Española”.

Un artista a seguir y un disco para disfrutar este “1972”, ¿qué más se puede pedir?
