Billy Bragg -She’s Got a New Spell

Mi relación con Billy Bragg, como muchas otras, se inició por pura casualidad. Corría el año 85 y en la radio sonaba “A New England” en la voz de Kirsty Mc Coll, hasta que en el verano del 86 no compré el single no descubrí que el compositor real era el gran Billy Bragg. Eso y descubrir su militancia, igual a la mía, me unió a él para siempre. En 1988 editó el que, al menos para mí, es su mejor disco “Workers Playtime” y allí una de las canciones de mi vida “She’s Got A New Spell“.

Después el grupo mallorquín La Granja la convirtió en “Magia En Tus Ojos”, pero eso como diría el barman de Irma La Dulce “es otra historia”.
