Me hice fan de Antony Hegarty, Anohni, como se hace llamar ahora, a los diez segundos de escuchar su voz. La suya una que te hiela al alma, quizás lo más parecido, en cuanto a la sensación, a Billie Holiday que haya escuchado nunca. Este “I Am A Bird Now” es su segundo disco, un disco confesional de principio a fin, de una chica encerrada en un cuerpo de un chico que se siente sola y que quiere que la quieran, “Hope there’s someone who’ll take care of me when I die, will I go” canta en “Hope There’s Someone”, el primer corte del disco, y pone el nivel muy alto;  “One day I’ll grow up, I’ll be a beautiful woman” explica en “For Today I Am A Boy”, se acompaña  de Boy George en “You Are My Sister”,  de Rufus Wainwright en “What Can I Do?” y nada menos que del gran Lou Reed en la enorme “Fistful Of Love” y acaba su confesión con “Bird Gerhl” donde canta “I am a bird girl now,  I’ve got my heart, Here in my hands”. Anonhni, no se si habrá conseguido ser feliz pero en su búsqueda, aparte de helarte el corazón, ha ido dejando maravillosas canciones.

Un disco emocionante, mucho.
