Jim Croce es otro de esos artistas malditos con los que me he cruzado a lo largo de mi vida de aficionado a la música. No recuerdo muy bien cómo llegué hasta la música de Jim, creo que escuché alguna de sus canciones en la radio y al locutor contando su historia, Jim había muerto con tan solo trenita años en un accidente al estrellarse su avión contra el único árbol en cien kilómetros a la redonda mientras el piloto intentaba despegar. Dejó cinco álbumes y un buen puñado de canciones, su música es un cruce entre el folk y el Soft-rock tan propio de finales de los 60 y principio de los 70, por momentos cercana a Simon & Garfunkel, por momentos cercana al Country. No es ni mucho menos mi estilo favorito de música, pero me dejé atrapar por su historia y por canciones como “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song”, “Time In A Bottle”, “I Got A Name” o “Photographs And Memories”, canciones de esas que te pueden salvar un día.
