Your Daddy’s Car – The Divine Comedy

Hay canciones que llegan a tu vida asociadas a momentos determinados, noches de fiesta y alcohol, amores perdidos/encontrados, sueños imposibles que se convierten en realidad o cualquier situación que vuelve a tu cabeza al sonar los primeros acordes. Sin embargo hay otras ocasiones en que una canción evoca situaciones que nunca has vivido, al menos no de manera idéntica, pero que encajan perfectamente con lo que te hubiera gustado vivir en un determinado momento. Este ultimo es el caso de “Your Daddy’s Car” de The Divine Comedy, (nombre bajo el que se esconde Neil Hannon y que tiene una inmaculada carrera repleta de grandes discos), la chica, el coche de su padre, y una noche de camino al mar. Con 20 años poco más hace falta para ser feliz.
